Getting back to normal?

On Friday, April 17, 2020, the American Society of Anesthesiologists along with the American College of Surgeons, Association of periOperative Registered Nurses, and American Hospital Association released a “Joint Statement: Roadmap for Resuming Elective Surgery after COVID-19 Pandemic.” The statment provides helpful guidance for topics such as timing for reopening, COVID-19 testing in your facility, and PPE. CDC Prevention and Infection Control for Patients

The CDC has updated its recommendations for patients with suspected or confirmed COVID-19. One change (#3 Patient Placement) is reserving Airborne Infection Isolation Rooms for “patients who will be undergoing aerosol-generating procedures.”
